The Firm's origin dates back to 1966, when a group of professionals with previous experience in internationally prestigious public accounting firms founded the Firm, which was constituted as a Professional Association in 1978. On January 1, 2000, it changed its name to Resa y Asociados, S.C.
In 1981, the Firm became associated with JHI, the world's most prestigious association of accounting, tax and business advisory professionals.
In September 2020, JHI merged with Abacus Worldwide, an international association of accountants and lawyers with over 110 members located in 51 countries and comprising more than 4,400 professionals. This allows us to provide services outside the national territory in compliance with the necessary regulations and quality standards, as well as to keep up to date with international regulatory developments for application to international clients.

Arnulfo de la Rosa Maldonado (Audit Partner) Since 1981, the firm is associated with JHI (www.jhi.com), and now DFK (DFK.com.mx) which allows us to provide services outside the national territory and the responsibility assumed in the execution of this work is institutional. Founding partner of the firm has held the Chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Mexico, AC and the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants (Federation of Professionals nationally), has been Director of the School of Accounting from Universidad Iberoamericana and the School of Accounting and Administration of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and Professor Emeritus of the latter. The current Managing Partner of the Firm, Roberto Resa Perusquía, works actively in the international association to which we belong, Abacus, in its different committees Roberto Resa Monroy, was also President of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants and other partners has also held the presidencies of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Mexico, AC and the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants. Jorge Resa Monroy, Audit partner was also president of the College of Public Accountants of Mexico (CCPM) A.C. and the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants, A.C (IMCP). Other partners of the firm, in addition to his professional activities, are also involved in academic work at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Universidad Latinoamericana, Universidad ISEC and the Universidad Simon Bolivar, as well as professional bodies that bring together public accountancy organized. Currently two members of the firm are members of the Committee on Standards and Procedures Audit of the Mexican Institute of Chartered Accountants of Mexico, AC, the Audit Committee and the Committee on Governmental Accounting and Auditing Institute of Chartered Accountants of Mexico AC and have held positions in both the National Executive Committee of the Mexican Institute of Chartered Accountants of Mexico, AC as the Executive Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Mexico, AC. Since 1971, the Firm has trained personnel to bring services for companies, institutions and entities of the federal, state and municipal as well as Universities, Trusts and Financial Sector. Experience allows us to audit accounts and issuance of reports attached to the regulations that govern them. The work of external audit include a review of government public accounts to different states of the Republic, Technical Audit - Financial resources allocated to Branch 33 of the Municipal Government as well as specific or special work in different areas of accounting, contract compliance and others. The audit works for governments include the review of the public account of different States of the Republic, Technical-Financial Audit of the resources assigned to Branch 33 of the Municipal Government, as well as specific or special works of different areas of accounting information, contractual compliance and others. An essential part of our services is that the assigned personnel have the necessary technical knowledge. Due to the constant changes in the various branches of the profession, the Firm imparts internal courses for the staff to provide the best services. In addition, from certain levels, being a certified public accountant is a requirement, with which we are committed to providing the best of services.
